DIVISAS is the low fi ambient punk electronic project of Sebastian Jarpa. Based in Paris (for now) but hailing from Buenos Aires, with a few self releases out, DIVISAS often likes to fall off the radar. sometimes puts out DIY shows wherever and whenever is possible and likes to eat apples.
His music was once described as +minimal daydreaming+. On his own words “that sounds pretentious“ & “everyone should go and listen (the short lived english late 70s post punk group“ REMA REMA.

EUGENE BLOVE @eugene_blove is a multi-faceted French artist who’s connecting the dots between brooding abstraction, electronic aggression and wistful Neo-folk in the most captivating way. Thrashing all protocols to explore the fragmented whereabouts of modern (dark-)pop and dysfunctional electronics, Blove beckons us onto a path of cathartic abandon and deep inward gaze.

Eugène Blove is an artist of the SHAPE+ platform for innovative music and interdisciplinary art, co-funded by the European Union and Pro Helvetia.

AUDREY CARMES @audrey_carmes is a composer and artist based in Paris, France. Having graduated from the Paris School of Fine Art, she found herself drawn towards the city’s experimental electronic music, developing a sound practice that she combined with her poetry and writing.

On her spellbinding debut album Quelque chose s’est dissipé, Carmes creates spacious worlds that shimmer with subtle intricacy. Inspired by krautrock, ambient and avant-garde electronic music, the French artist draws on a range of sonic elements to create her own distinct blend of sound design and composition.

L’association DOC est née d’un projet, celui d’offrir des espaces de production et de diffusion aux artistes contemporain·e·s. En 2018 ce sont près de 95 résident·e·s qui ont trouvé leur place dans l’ancien lycée Jean Quarré au 26 rue du docteur Potain dans le XIXème arrondissement de Paris.

Plasticien·ne·s, photographes, artisan·e·s, comédien·ne·s, musicien·ne·s, bijoutier·e·s, créateur·ice·s, éditeur·ice·s, scénographes, écrivain·e·s, monteur·euse·s vidéo, dramaturges, réalisateur·ice·s, tous·te·s sont réuni·e·s autour de la certitude de la validité des propositions du DOC tant créatives que sociétales.

DOC accueille des artistes au sein d’ateliers privés ou partagés ainsi que des ateliers de résidences temporaires.

L’association dispose de neuf ateliers spécialisés ouverts aux résident·e·s mais aussi aux acteur·rice·s/artistes extérieur·e·s : ateliers bois, métal, peinture, couture, offset, post-production vidéo, son et sérigraphie.

Cinq pôles spécialisés développent la programmation du lieu : exposition, concert, arts de la scène, audiovisuelle, et université libre. Conçues comme indépendantes de l’activité des résident·e·s du DOC, ces programmations prennent place au sein des espaces mais s’inscrivent également dans une démarche collaborative hors-les-murs.

Les artistes sont en mouvement, plaçant au centre de leur activité leur avenir, assumant tout au long de leurs parcours le risque inhérent à cette posture. Le fait de vivre ce choix d’existence de manière collective favorise l’innovation et rend le risque plus acceptable.

L’association DOC est donc une énergie collective guidée par l’urgence du désir, celui de créer, de donner à voir et de partager.

The association DOC was created with a goal ; that of offering spaces to create and diffuse contemporary artists work. In 2018 around 95 residents found themselves in the former high-school Jean Quarre located at 26 rue Docteur Potain in the 20th district of Paris.

Artists, photographers, artisans, actors/actresses, musicians, jewellers, fashion designers, publishers, set designers, writers, video editors, playwrights and directors are all reunited under one roof by the undeniable value of DOC’s creative proposals.

DOC welcomes artists in private or shared studios as well as temporary residency workshops in collaboration with recently graduated curators.

The association is compiled of 9 specialised workshops open to residents and also to exterior actors/actresses : wood workshop, metal, painting, dressmaking, offset, post production, sound and screen printing.

Five specialised departments develop the spaces program : exhibition, concert, theatre arts, audiovisual media and free workshop/seminars. Perceived as independent from the activity of the residents of DOC, this program not only takes place in the spaces provided by DOC, it also takes beyond the walls (hors-les-murs) through collaboration in exterior spaces.

Artists are always in movement; they place their future at the center of their activity, accepting throughout their journey the inherent risk that this brings. Living this choice of existence in a collective environment favours innovation and renders this risk more acceptable.

DOC is therefore a collective energy guided by the power of the desire to create, to show and to share.
