signes presents dans l espace ou absent dans le present
c est grace aux signes qu on peut dialoguer avec la ville lui parler tout autant que l ecouter
parfois c est seulement avec des signes qu on peut echanger avec celleux qui l habitent
significations qu on donne a nos voyages a nos rencontres comme conclusion d une experience dans l espace d un trajet allant d un point a a un point b d une derive l intention d un geste d une chose
toutes ces choses qui prennent place dans cet espace qu on aimerait appeler la ville mais qui fleurissent tout aussi bien dans les interstices de ce lieu a ces alentours allant jusqu au depaysement au sommeil tranquille
l envie de flaner au maroc au senegal a belleville dans une seule salle au nord de paris
l envie d imbrication d espaces temps
l envie de retirer tous les signes et de les preserver pour mieux les signifier

DOC is a space for artistic production and presentation located at 26 Rue du Docteur Potain, 75019 Paris. Founded in 2015, it is a multifaceted space that brings together a variety of artistic practices (visual arts, photography, crafts, performing arts, music, jewelry making, writing, video editing, etc.) and artists. For over ten years, DOC has provided a space for creation, connection, mutual support, and collaboration for Parisian artists and craftspeople. In addition, DOC offers a unique, high-caliber artistic program, always with pay-what-you-can admission.
DOC is also a collective—formally organized as a nonprofit association under the 1901 law—that manages and brings this space to life. This collective is made up of nearly 100 members, all of whom are artists or artisans in residence. A governance model based on self-management has developed, organized through a monthly general assembly and steering committees dedicated to various themes.
The association has nine specialized art studios open to residents as well as to the general public: woodworking, metalworking, painting, sewing, offset printing, video post-production, sound, and screen printing. For more information on this topic, contact us at contact@doc.work.
